According to the latest data, in the 12 months ending September 2024, tourist spending in the Brisbane area exceeded A$11 billion, setting a record high, while the number of overnight tourist stays reached an unprecedented 52.9 million. The number of tourists reached a record high of 8.1 million, an increase of 14.3% year-on-year, domestic tourists’ spending reached A$7.9 billion, an increase of 9.3%, and the number of tourist nights increased by 17.8%.
The southern states have rekindled their interest in this sunny city, and the number of tourists from Sydney, Melbourne, New South Wales and Victoria has also reached a record high.
